A complete system is made up of these parts — every brand (CrossingTech, TerpChasers Club …) builds them on the same principle, but with its own choices of materials and form.
PID controller
Holds the temperature accurate to the degree — no drift, no over- or underheating. Your choice of °C or °F.
Heater coil
Wraps around the heater housing and spreads the heat evenly across the balls. No hotspots.
Titanium heater housing
Holds the balls and conducts the heat onward optimally. Titanium is temperature-stable and thermally efficient.
Corundum balls
The heart of the system: 2.5–3 mm ruby or sapphire balls that store enormous heat and release it in a flash.
Bowl
Takes your material — injector (pure convection) or diffuser (convection + conduction).
