A fritted disc is a sintered quartz plate riddled with countless microscopic pores. It doesn't filter in the classic sense — it spreads the airflow across the entire bowl surface instead of forcing it through one central point. The result: noticeably more even extraction, a softer pull, no channeling.

What does it do?

How to use
The disc sits below the bowl material. Ruby balls go on top. On the draw, air pulls through the fritted structure, gets evenly distributed, and only then passes through the heated material.
Care
Let it cool down after each session. Clean with isopropanol or by briefly boiling in salt water. For really stubborn residue: a burn-off cycle with the coil — quartz can take it, organic residue can't.

- Not compatible with the V1 quartz insert — V1 and V2 architectures don't mix on this part
