TCC Ruby Insert with Disc (Upgrade Kit)

The Ruby Insert Upgrade Kit replaces the quartz liner and disc with solid ruby components — transforming the entire airpath of the Universal Baller V2 from quartz to corundum.

Why that's a meaningful difference: synthetic ruby (corundum) has significantly higher thermal conductivity and stronger thermal expansion than quartz. In practice that means:

• Faster heat-up of the entire bowl area
• Tighter seating at operating temperature — components expand evenly and close out micro-gaps
• More even heat transfer to the material — no hotspot behavior

What's in the box

• 1× Ruby Liner (solid ruby insert, precision-machined)
• 2× Ruby Discs (matched to the V2 High Airflow Disc — interchangeable with quartz discs)

Use

Place the insert in the bowl, disc on top, material on top of that, then load ruby balls. Standard heat cycle. The ruby block stores heat between hits and releases it indirectly through the disc into the material.

Care

• Before first install rinse and dry thoroughly — removes any production residue
• In use self-cleaning on every heat cycle — same as ruby balls
• If needed soak in isopropanol
• Like all ruby components, practically wear-free

Compatibility

• Drop-in for TCC Universal Baller V2 Kit bowl architecture
• Disc dimensions match the V2 High Airflow Disc — therefore interchangeable with the Machine Quartz Screen V2
• Not compatible with V1 components (V1 discs do not fit)
