TCC Ruby Insert with Disc (Upgrade Kit)

The Ruby Insert Upgrade Kit replaces the quartz liner and disc with solid ruby components — transforming the entire airpath of the Universal Baller V2 from quartz to corundum.

Why that's a meaningful difference: synthetic ruby (corundum) has significantly higher thermal conductivity and stronger thermal expansion than quartz. In practice that means:

• Faster heat-up of the heater head
• Tighter seating at operating temperature — components expand evenly and close out micro-gaps

What's in the box

• 1× Ruby Liner (solid ruby insert, precision-machined)
• 2× Ruby Discs (matched to the V2 High Airflow Disc — interchangeable with quartz discs)

Use

The ruby liner replaces the quartz liner inside the heater housing. Use one matching ruby disc; the second included disc is a spare. Ruby balls remain inside the liner, while herbal material goes only in the separate bowl. Do not install both discs at once. Change parts only with the device switched off, unplugged and fully cooled; never force parts into place.

Care

Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before first installation. Allow all parts to cool completely before cleaning. Handle glass and quartz carefully, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry fully. If a part is stuck or damaged, contact the manufacturer or our support; do not force it loose or improvise a burn-off procedure.

Compatibility

According to TCC, compatible with all Universal Baller housings, including the Universal Baller V2. Use the ruby liner and matching ruby disc together. Disc versions concern fit inside the insert, not overall housing compatibility; do not mix in existing V1 or quartz discs without checking their fit.
