CrossingTech Diffuser Ring for WOHW V2 Heater Housing

The WOHW V2 ships with two diffuser rings: a smaller one, pre-installed on the heater housing for the Matrix Bowl, and a larger one for 22 mm bowls from third-party makers. This part is the original replacement from Crossing Technology in case you have lost one of those rings.

Function

The ring screws into the diffuser side of the WOHW V2 heater housing and forms the interface between housing and bowl: the bowl seats against the ring, and on the draw the air heated in the ruby bed flows through this opening into the bowl. Swapping takes seconds – unscrew the ring while the housing is cold and screw in the other one. That is how you switch the housing between the Matrix Bowl and standard 22 mm bowls.

Choosing the size

• 21.65 mm – the smaller size, matching the factory pre-installed ring for the Matrix Bowl from the WOHW V2 kit.
• 22.3 mm – the larger size for standard 22 mm diffuser bowls, e.g. TCC Universal Baller or O'Connell Woodworks.

Note: Crossing's quoted dimensions are not fully consistent – the V2 kit lists the two rings as 21.5 mm and 22.15 mm, the spare part as 21.65 mm and 22.3 mm. Go by which bowl you use the ring with, or compare against your remaining ring if in doubt.
