Compatibility and contents

For the TCC Universal Baller housing. Requires a PID with matching voltage, output capacity and pinout; a similar connector alone is insufficient.

Use the matching TCC Universal Baller docking station for a stationary wireless setup. TCC does not guarantee third-party housing fit. The CrossingTech WOHW dock is not the intended station. The 30 mm FMJ setup uses a separate coil.

Includes one 220 V EU coil with connection cable. PID, housing and dock are sold separately. Unplug the PID and let the coil cool before connecting or modifying the setup. The metal shell gets hot; it is not a touch guard.

Docking station: geometry matters

• Designed for the TCC Universal Baller docking station: TCC confirms that its height and layout suit the Armored Coil and Universal Baller components.
• A CrossingTech/WOHW dock is not a direct substitute: A reviewer reported needing substantial bending to fit the coil into a CrossingTech dock. They warned that otherwise the coil could rest against the station and make it very hot. This is a customer experience, not an approved modification procedure.
• Matching coil dimensions do not guarantee fit: According to TCC, the WOHW coil received an extra bend to fit the CrossingTech station while using the same coil size. Coil-arm geometry and clearance matter as well as the heating opening dimensions.
• A UB Hammer setup does not automatically require this coil: With a CrossingTech dock, choose a coil geometry explicitly intended for that station. Check the housing, coil and dock together; the heater head alone does not make the Armored Coil a necessary upgrade.

Do not bend the Armored Coil to adapt it to an unsuitable dock. Use a matching station and prevent unintended contact between the hot coil and station components.

What does the metal shell add?

TCC describes the SS316 Armored Coil as a materials and appearance upgrade. According to the manufacturer, its one-piece metal shell scratches the wireless housing much less. This is not a scratch-free guarantee. The review and reply do not establish higher heating output or better temperature control.
