TCC Quartz Insert V2

The Quartz Insert drops into the bowl section of the Universal Baller and lifts your material onto a quartz layer that mediates between the hot ruby balls and the bowl floor. The V2 variant is shorter than V1, considerably beefier, and has a thicker lid/cap — more rugged, longer-lived, with a more even heat transfer.

What does it bring?

• More thermal mass in the bowl — heat sticks around longer, sessions can be extended without the coil constantly compensating.
• Smoother heat transfer — the material doesn't sit in direct contact with the ruby balls but is heated through the quartz layer. That gives you a softer hit and treats sensitive material more gently.
• More robustness thanks to the V2 geometry — less risk under repeated thermal cycling.
• Compatible with the vortex adapter + armored wire coil.

Care

Same as any quartz part: brush it off cold, wipe with isopropanol, or burn it out as a last resort. Be careful with drops: quartz is heat-resistant but not impact-resistant.

Important V1/V2 compatibility note

The Quartz Insert V2 is not backward-compatible with the V1 fritted disc or the V1 high-airflow disc. If you swap the insert to V2, you also have to swap the disc to V2. Mixing them leads to a poor fit and potential breakage.
